Who We Are
Gabriel Snyder has held numerous positions leading both digital and legacy publications. He has served as the Editor-in-Chief of The New Republic, Editor of The Atlantic Wire, a digitally native news site launched by The Atlantic, Executive Editor of Newsweek’s digital operations, and Editor-in-Chief of Gawker. He has also served as a digital adviser to the Bloomberg Media Group and has written on media and culture for publications including Wired, Columbia Journalism Review, The New York Times Magazine, and Slate. He grew up in Nashville, studied American History at Yale College, and currently lives in Brooklyn.
Michelle Legro has more than a decade of experience editing for digital and print magazines and is currently the Features Editor for Medium’s new politics and culture magazine, GEN. Previously she was the Features Editor of Topic Magazine, Culture Editor of The New Republic, and a Senior Editor at Lapham’s Quarterly, where in addition to working on the print issues, she oversaw audience development and led the complete development and re-launch of the publication’s web site. She grew up in Orange County, California, studied Art History at Barnard College and Creative Writing at Columbia University, and currently lives in Brooklyn.
Foster Kamer is a writer and editor who has spent his career reshaping print and digital newsrooms. Currently the Content Director of Futurism Media, he’s previously been the Global Managing Editor for Mashable, Executive Editor of Mental_Floss, Senior Editor and Executive Producer of Complex/Complex News, where he won a James Beard Award for the First We Feast food vertical. He has held staff writing and editing positions with Esquire, The Village Voice, Gawker, The New York Observer, in addition to freelance for The New York Times, BBC, Gossamer, and others. He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and currently lives in Brooklyn.
